🍽️ Brown Sugar Meatloaf
🛒 Ingredients
For the meatloaf:

1 ½ pounds ground beef (80/20 works best)

1 cup milk
-
1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)

1 large egg
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
For the brown sugar glaze:

½ cup packed brown sugar
-
½ cup ketchup
-
1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard until smooth.
Spread about ⅓ of the glaze in the bottom of a loaf pan. -
Prepare the meat mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, milk, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently (don’t overwork it). -
Shape and assemble:
Press the meat mixture into the loaf pan over the glaze. -
Top with remaining glaze:
Spread the rest evenly over the top. -
Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
